macOS Big Sur is one of the best and advances Operating systems released by Apple. On 31 March 2021, Apple released macOS Big Sur 11.3 beta update to registered and other beta testers.
macOS Big Sur 11.2 was released in February. But this version did not offer any new features, instead, it has included some improvements and security updates.
In macOS Big Sur 11.3 beta, Apple includes some new features, which are:
- Autoplay features in Apple Music as like iOS 14.
- Option to check Mac Warranty
- So many emoji
- More supports on Games Controllers
- Note about Rosetta may not available in some regions.
Apple also released a beta version of the iOS 14.4 version.

The FInal and stable version of macOS Big Sur 11.3 will be released to the public in April 2021. Another good news is, Apple will release another major Update which is macOS 12. And it will be announced at WWDC 2021 in the summer.

In macOS Big Sur 11.3 beta, Apple revealed some features, which will be included in Big Sur 11.3 stable version.
Games Controller Support
Mac users now will get access to a number of Games related features after installing these updates. After the Fourth beta, macOS will get a setting in Preferences to enable to map keys on Mac Keyboard. For example, You will be able to map the X button on the controller to the letter Q on the Keyboard, W, A, S, D will work as directional arrows.
The macOS Big Sur 11.3 update will also add support for the PlayStation 5, Xbox X, and S series gaming controllers.
Improved Safari Features
Apple introduced a new and fastest Safari in macOS Big Sur. In the new macOS Big Sur 11.3 update, safari will get some more improvement. Safari’s start page will be more customizable.
Mac users will get an option to re-arrange all the sections with customizations controls.
Another BIG news is, Safari will get Extensions types that will enable developers to create extensions for Safari. It will also get Web Speech API for developers so that developers can incorporate speech recognition into their web pages.
Improvements for IOS/iPad apps on Mac
After macOS Big Sur 11.3 updates, iPhone and iPad apps will work better than before on M1 macs. As an example, iPadOS apps will open with a large window and a new preference pane will be available in iOS and iPadOS apps. Also, keyboard commands will be instead of touch.
A touch alternatives preferences pane will be added, so that mac users can use it to match touch actions to their mac’s keyboard and mouse.
After macOS Big Sur 11.3 update, mac users will be able to easily manage and sort reminders based on various criteria. Mac users also will be able to move reminders manually up and down using Drag and Drop functionality in any list. In this update, the user will get an option to print all reminders as well.
Apple News: Apple introduced a new News+ tab in macOS Big Sur 11.3 update. You can easily subscribe and access your magazines and newspapers. It will also simplify the download management issues.
A very good improvement has been added for Apple music in macOS Big Sur 11.3 update. You can listen to upcoming and special live events based on your interests. It also got Autoplay features. You also can share lyrics along with the link you shared via Messaging, Instagram, or Facebook messenger.
Stereo-paired HomePods support
In macOS Big Sur 11.3 update, you will be able to change the default settings to stereo-paired HomePods. You can use dual HomePOds without any issues with iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. After macOS Big Sur 11.3, you also can use the same functionality in your Mac as well.

After macOS Big Sur 11.3 update, now you can easily view your mac’s warranty information under the About this mac option.

From Steve Moser status, you can understand that Rosetta 2 will be removed during the installation, and the emulator that translates code written for x86 for the ARM architecture is not available in some regions.
But it also not clear that Apple intends to switch off Rosetta 2 or not.
